January 2013 Safety

First of all I would like you all to know that it is the Chaparral Riders Club and the Officers goal to make sure you have an fun and enjoyable experience riding with us.

So that being said I think as the new year begins we should go over some of the basic guide lines for  safe riding.

1 Make sure you bike is in good operating condition, (ie) brakes, tires and over all maintenance.

2 Make sure you are as well in good operating condition and health. Don't put yourself and others in danger if you have any medical issues.

3 Dress appropriately, make sure your helmet fits correctly and are ready for the current weather conditions. Gloves, Jacket, pants and boots are very important and make sure everything is comfortable or you won't enjoy the riding experience.

4 Ride you own ride. If you feel uncomfortable with riding with the group let someone know that you are splitting with the group or going to out ride. You can fall back or if we're not going fast enough you may go on ahead and meet us at the next stop.

Looking forward to a great year of riding with the Chaparral Riders Club and making new friends and bonding with old ones.
